Screen Printing Classes

Richmond Art Center Screen-printing Classes

What is screen-printing? Ink is forced with a squeegee through a stencil design-bearing-screen made of silk or other mesh material, onto the surface being printed, ie paper, board, fabric, metal, ceramic, etc. Screen-printing, also called silk screening, is a versatile medium and allows for easy integration with other disciplines. Learn all about silk screening in our hands-on classes where you can design for fabric, glass, leather or paper. Our light-filled studio has the necessary computer programs, a screen exposure unit, a six-paddle printing rounder and yardage board. The Richmond Art Center uses only water-soluble inks.
